The 23rd of December

It really is not a special day; the kids are preparing for whatever the parents are dragging them to, the teachers are looking at the day after next, and nope, you don’t even have a clue if you have never looked forward to the day after. The cashiers, managers, the mall’s grocery clerks, and the whole shelf of retail are just waiting, but it is not the day yet. We all know the real hours of retail are a little after 11, right before 1, until we can finally close those gates. To all of you workers out there, may this find you safe, sane, and hopeful.
