Happy Birthday & Happy New Year
I am one of those lucky/unlucky few who end the year with the blessing of starting a new year, a new you, and shedding the old age by starting a new age near same time. People always think, “Oh, this is a curse,” but truth be told, it is not.
We get an experience not many can understand, we get to shed more than the old year and start the new year with a fresh age, with the promises everyone forgives themselves when they break the fake promises of resolute. We get to shed the age of last year of us. The age of why did we do something stupid or we just needed to grow out of that, and I hit 50. This year, I got to shed a bunch of stupidity and grow up a lot. It seems only fitting that I would go to a family-friendly and adult-targeted restaurant. Don’t look now but I also made a new friend.
The restaurant was Dogwood Social House in Cape Girardeau, and we ordered pizzas, a build-your-own pepperoni, and a flatbread barbecue chicken; they were both great. The pepperoni had an amazing crust, and no, I am not going to tell you, go taste it. The flat bread has a sweetness, so be prepared and enjoy every bite. My leftovers were kidnapped on the ride home, and the ransom was a sweet treat I can not complain about and was incredibly happy with. (No, you cannot have the info; secrets can never be revealed.) The whole night was fun and in the arcade I discovered I am not a zombie hunter.

It is a great place to visit and a pleasant place to enjoy yourself, your friends, and family. As I always ask of you, enjoy yourself, but if you cannot contribute to the harmony of a place, do not go; if you cannot bring peace to a workplace, do not disrupt the employees. Most importantly, if you cannot be kind-hearted to other people, do not attend a place I recommend.
About my new friend, in due time, people.
